You can access this tool from:

Ribbon: OpenRail Modeling > Rail > Miscellaneous > LV Assets > Update Railway Schematic View

This tool has no UI.

When placing an Equipment in Plan View, the Schematic View will not automatically update. As each geometry can have its own Schematic View, automatically updating all Schematic Views may decrease performance. This tool is used to update the associated Schematic View as needed in the workflow.

The Update Railway Schematic View tool will populate Equipment (placed in the Plan View) in the Schematic View.

Workflow

Select the Update Railway Schematic View tool

Activate the Plan View

Select a geometry, which has an associated Schematic View (geometries without an associated geometry can't be selected)

Associated Schematic View will be updated
